[College of Engineering]

SERVICES

One of the University's roles is to provide opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to participate with the faculty in research activities, both to further knowledge in engineering and allied sciences and to serve society. To fulfill this obligation, the University has established several research organizations. Among these is the Office of Sponsored Engineering Programs, or OSEP. An integral part of the College of Engineering, OSEP serves engineering faculty and graduate students by strengthening sponsored research projects. Sponsored research is strengthened by OSEP's stimulation and promotion of research investigations designed to enhance the economic and industrial welfare of the state, region, and nation. OSEP helps faculty acquire information about sources of support, prepare proposals to obtain project sponsorship, administer contracts and grants, compile timely reports of contract and grant activity in the College, and publish the results of research in OSEP technical reports. Research activities of other University divisions that affect the College of Engineering are coordinated by OSEP.
