CULVERHOUSE COLLEGE OF COMMERCE AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION MINORS

Students in the College of Arts and Sciences may apply one of the Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration minors below toward the requirements of a College of Arts and Sciences degree program, subject to the provisions stated on p. 68. All minors require a minimum of 6 hours at the 300 or 400 level earned on this campus and a grade point average of 2.000 or higher in the minor program of study.

Admission to a Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration minor is by application.

Requirements for discipline-specific minors. Students admitted to one of the discipline-specific minors must have grade point averages of 2.5 or higher for all college-level coursework attempted and for all University of Alabama coursework attempted. A student whose grade point average falls below these standards may petition the assistant dean of undergraduate programs of the Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration for admission to the minor if the student's grade point average for the last 30 hours attempted is 2.5 or higher. A student admitted to a discipline-specific minor will be permitted to enroll in all courses required for that specific minor even if the student's grade point average subsequently falls below 2.5 provided all other enrollment requirements are met.

Students must complete all lower-level prerequisites. These prerequisites include EC 110, MATH 112 and MATH 121, CS 102, ST 260, and LGS 200 (or their equivalents). Prior to enrolling in upper-division business courses, students must have earned credit for a minimum of 61 semester hours. Students may earn degree credit for no more than 30 semester hours of C&BA courses (excluding EC 110, EC 111, and ST 260).

Students must comply with all Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration policies. Failure to comply will result in administrative disenrollment from C&BA courses.
