The minor in world literature is open only to students who have completed two years of college-level coursework in a foreign language. All programs of study for the minor must be approved by the director of the World Literature Program.
Requirements for the minor in world literature. The world literature minor requires 18–20 hours, including the second-year foreign language courses and 12 hours of literature courses. Six of the required 12 hours must be associated with the foreign language the student has taken, either in the original text or in translation. A minimum of 6 hours at the 300 or 400 level must be earned on this campus. Courses taken to fulfill requirements of the student's major or of another minor cannot be applied to the minor in world literature.
