The goal of Transportation Services, a division of Auxiliary and Support Services, is to assist you in parking on campus. All students, faculty, staff, and visitors parking on campus agree to follow the University's parking rules and regulations. For your convenience, campus parking maps and campus parking rules and regulations are available at the Transportation Services offices located at 103 Student Services Center, and are available online at http://bamaparking.ua.edu. Your observance of these rules and regulations will greatly enhance your visit to campus.
Student parking permits. Students planning to park on campus between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, are required to purchase a parking permit. Parking permits for students living on campus will be issued based on residency location. Students living off campus will be issued commuter parking permits. A brochure that includes a campus parking map and campus parking rules and regulations will accompany your permit. To avoid citations and possible related expenses, each permit holder should be familiar with the information contained in the brochure.
Students registered for fall classes may preregister for their parking permits by logging on to mybama.ua.edu and selecting the Student tab. In the Student Services section, select "Register HERE for a parking permit" and complete the information requested. The assigned parking permit will be mailed to the student's home address two weeks prior to the beginning of classes. Permits may also be purchased at the Transportation Services office located in the Student Services Center beginning August 1.
Visitor parking permits. Parents and visitors parking on the University of Alabama campus must obtain a visitor parking permit. Visitor permits can be obtained at the Transportation Services offices located at 103 Student Services Center.
