The scholarship and leadership of UA students and faculty are honored each April during Honors Week. UA's colleges, schools, and departments hold special events and activities during the week, a tradition since the early 1900s.
The week culminates with Honors Day and the Tapping on the Mound ceremony, when tappings for major honor societies are held on the raised area on the Quad covering the foundation of a building destroyed in 1865.
UA's Honors Week for 2007 is April 2-6.
